How Donated Christmas Boxes Transformed our Village

This Christmas, generosity transcended borders, sharing the hope of Christmas with 70 children in our village.

For the past few weeks, gifts from donors across the world arrived at Maria Naomi for our little Romanian village. These gifts, sent from supporters in Romania, England, and America, arrived adorned with festive wrapping and bows, each one connected to the real meaning of Christmas for the children here in our local village.

This week we had the privilege of sharing these gifts and the real meaning of Christmas with them. Some of the children had never heard the Christmas story. Their attention as they sat huddled around was a vivid reminder of the joy and curiosity that Christ ignites in young hearts.

Our children received their Christmas boxes during our Maria Naomi Christmas event, sponsored by our generous supporters in Europe and America.

As each Christmas gift was handed out, the children's faces lit up with excitement and wonder. For many, these weren't just gifts; they were tangible expressions of love and thoughtfulness from people they may never meet but who cared enough to make their Christmas special. Thank you.

Our celebration extended into crafts activities and a delightful Christmas lunch where we shared sarmale—a beloved Romanian dish—and delicious cakes made by our team and volunteers.

The laughter and happiness echoing around the room encapsulated the spirit of community and shared blessing that defines Maria Naomi gatherings.

We shared the hope of the Christmas story with the children, some them hearing it for the first time and gathered for a lunch of delicious sarmale put on by our team and volunteers.

We have invited these children to join our ongoing children’s programs at Maria Naomi. The team and I are thrilled to see these children again with various outreach activities that are propelled by our generous donors. This invitation is a continuation of our mission to nurture and share the hope of the Gospel, which we celebrated together with festivities this Christmas.

As we prepare to step into 2025, our commitment remains steadfast—to empower, to uplift, and to transform lives through the love of Christ. We are profoundly thankful for your support, which enables us to continue our work. Your partnership in prayer, giving, and volunteering is crucial to our mission. Thank you to all the generous donors for supporting our mission and making our children’s outreach programs a tangible picture of Christ’s generosity to us.

From our village to yours, may you have a blessed Christmas and New Years.
